It was discovered by Turkish authorities in 2000 during an anti-smuggling operation
The Vatican has made an official request to view the text

A leather-bound religious text, thought to date from the fifth century but discovered only 12 years ago, will cause the collapse of Christianity worldwide, claims Iran.
The book, written on animal hide, apparently states that Jesus was never crucified and that he himself predicted the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, according to the the Iranian press.
Written in Syriac, a dialect of Aramaic, the gospel even predicts the coming of the last Islamic messiah, the report adds.

In my opinion - any religion whatsoever - that requires soliders and armies and believes they need to fight for their faith - and that turns one human against another - is not a religion based in peace and is not something to be follow or put faith into.

The best suggestion or advice I have heard recently is ....... Everyone - stop searching outside of yourselves, stop looking to others, for peace and love.  Turn inwards and live in your heart.

The commandments are the way for man to live peaceably but in order to follow them sometimes it requires one to give up what they want so all can live in peace.  Many are not willing to do that.  It is called greed.
